Who can take an ACLS course?

ACLS is a course designed specifically for healthcare professionals managing or assisting in cardiopulmonary arrest and other cardiovascular emergencies.  Personnel includes, but is not limited to, emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care team members.

How do I cancel or reschedule?

If you need to cancel or transfer your registration, you must do so 48 hrs prior to the date of this class. You will need to call the office @ 623 388 8900.

Please note: If you cancel your registration, there will be a $50.00 fee, ($25.00 for CPR) deducted from your refunded tuition. All cancelations must be received no less than 48 hrs prior to the class in order to receive a refund. You may transfer to another class 48 hours prior to the class date for no charge. There will be a rescheduling fee assessed if you reschedule after the 48 hour prior to class.

What cards do I receive at the ALS-R?

The price of tuition includes AHA BLS, ACLS and PALS course completion cards.  AMLS and ITLS certifications are optional – $20 for AMLS (4yrs) and $30 ITLS (4 yrs)

Can I take a renewal if my card is expired?

The ACLS and PALS renewal courses are for experienced healthcare providers who are proficient in performing BLS, ACLS and PALS skills.  This includes reading and interpreting ECGs, and understanding ACLS & PALS pharmacology and treatment algorithms. The renewal courses offer no remediation.

How long do classes run?

ACLS Courses 0900 to 1630
PALS Courses 0900 to 1600 (day 1) and 0900 to 1300 (day 2)
BLS Courses 0900 to 1230
EMT Refresher 0800 to 1700
ALS Refresher 0800 to 1730

How many Nursing CEU's for the ACLS and PALS courses.

ACLS 1 Day =  6.2
ACLS 2 day = 13.5

PALS 1 day = 4.2
PALS 2 day = 10.7

Do I need to take a refresher course if I failed National Registry?

If you failed your National Registry CBT exam 3 times (EMT or Paramedic) you will need to successfully complete a refresher course in order to be qualified to take the exam again (3 more attempts).  For more info, check www.nremt.org
