August 16, 2018 0900 to 1100 – LaPaz Regional Hospital.        Topic: EKG Recognition

Need some review on EKGs, or maybe some clarification as to what all those squiggly lines mean?  In this class we will discuss what happens when electricity flows across the heart muscle, both correctly and not so correctly!  This class is not only for the novice EKG reader, but also those who have been reading EKGs for years but just want a little brushing up on those confusing blocks, fibs, flutters and idio-whatever rhythms!

August 29, 2018 – 1000 to 1200    Topic: Airway, Oxygenation, Ventilation and ETCO2

ETCO2 – it’s not just for ventilation!  In this class we will cover the Anatomy & Physiology of the upper and lower airway, as well as how ETCO2 can be used to assess not only the effectiveness of the ventilations we provide our patients, but also how to use ETCO2 to detect even the most subtle changes in a patients breathing, circulation and metabolism.
